About Rachel
Rachel Meltzer Warren is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) with a master's degree in nutrition. She went vegetarian at twelve, and that personal experience shaped her supportive, no-judgment approach: she believes going veg is a voyage, not a destination, and that every teen can find the version of plant-based eating that fits her own values.
As a nutrition writer, educator and counselor based in and around New York City, Rachel specializes in helping kids, teens and parents cultivate a taste for healthful food. She wrote The Smart Girl's Guide to Going Vegetarian (Sourcebooks Fire, 2014) to give veg-curious teens the honest, practical guide she wished she had had.
